Carnivore

In Carnivore, you are the ultimate predator, stalking the shadows in search of your next kill. Only the strongest rise to become alpha predators—but beware, for other alphas lurk nearby, waiting to tear you apart and make you their meal.

Will you survive the hunt, or end up as just another bite in the food chain?

Setup

  • 2 dice
  • Score tracker, such as pen and paper or a notes app
  • Agree on a score goal (example: first to reach 100 points)

How to Play

  • Turn Order: On your turn, continue rolling your dice, adding the dice totals to your score. You choose when you want to stop rolling, but beware: if one of your dice is a 1, your score is reduced to 0 and your turn ends.
  • End Turn: Bank your points for the turn by stopping before rolling a 1, then pass the dice to the next player.
  • Becoming an Alpha: If you start your turn with a score higher than 0, you become an Alpha. Alphas may choose to continue rolling to add to their score, or choose to steal another Alpha’s score by challenging them to a round of High Noon. Note: if you are an Alpha who chooses to roll instead of attacking and you roll a 1, your score is reduced to 0 and you are no longer an Alpha.
  • High Noon Challenge: Both players play a round of High Noon (see separate rules). The winner adds the loser’s score to their own; the loser is eliminated from the game.

Winning the Game

The first player to reach the target score or the last player standing wins.

Bar Rules

  • Target Score Win: If a player reaches the target score first, everyone else still playing owes that player a round.
  • High Noon Duel: The loser of a High Noon duel owes the winner of that duel a round.
