Setup

Grab 5 dice and something to keep score with. Agree on a booty score goal (recommended 30 points).

How to Play

One player at a time will take a turn. On their turn, they may either sail for new booty or, if they qualify, raid another pirate.

Sailing for Booty: The player has up to 3 attempts to find the right conditions by rolling their 5 dice, aiming to get:

4Perfect sea conditions
5Someone to pillage
6Successful pillage attempt
  • Finding Booty: The player has 3 attempts to roll a 4, 5, and 6. They may keep a 4, 5, or 6 between attempts while rerolling the remaining dice.
  • No Booty Found: If the player does not get a 4, 5, and 6 after 3 attempts, their turn is over.
  • Scoring Booty: If the player gets the right conditions, the other 2 dice represent their successfully plundered booty.
    • They can reroll those 2 dice once to try for a higher booty score, but they must keep the new score rolled.
    • After they total up their Booty, they check to see if any other player has the same Booty as them. If they do, they duel for that Booty!
    • If no other player has the same Booty total, their turn is over.

Raiding

If a player starts their turn with 10 or more Booty, they may raid another pirate instead of sailing for new Booty.

Choose another pirate with Booty and challenge them to a round of High Noon. The winner steals all of the loser’s Booty, adds it to their own score, and the loser is eliminated from the game.

Dueling for Booty

If two or more players have the same Booty score, they must duel in a round of High Noon (see separate rules).

The winner steals all of the loser’s Booty, adds it to their own score, and the loser is eliminated from the game.

Winning

Be the first pirate to reach the agreed Booty score goal (recommended 30 points), or be the last pirate standing.

Bar Rules

  • Target Score Win: If a pirate reaches the target Booty score first, everyone else still playing owes that pirate a round.
  • High Noon Duel: The loser of a High Noon duel owes the winner of that duel a round.
